It has been a Fiber Art February!! Planning is taking shape for some fantastic new workshops and tours for  fiber art fans! Here at my new Riverrun Pottery and Fiber Art studios, I have been busy experimenting with eco-dyeing, nuno felting, and learning to use a new felt rolling machine. I will be continuing the large felted landscapes using the machine to lay out the base layers
and felt them. I love the idea of using local and natural plant materials to create beautiful textiles…and I am currently enrolled in an eco-dyeing class with Nicola Brown in Ireland. The big news is that Nicola and I are planning a workshop in September, in Ireland, learning all about eco-printing from her in the beautiful Irish countryside. The class is for people of all skill levels. As soon as we have the final figures in the next few weeks, the brochure will be posted. Limited to 10 people!!

I will also be offering fiber art workshops here in northern Wisconsin and on Madeline Island, as well as a week long “Felting the Landscape” class at John Campbell Folk School in October. It is so exciting! More very soon……with dates and details!

I will be spending March in France, immersing myself in language and culture, as well as scouting for future workshops and tours. I will also be visiting Ireland and working with Nicola Brown on our plans. I am looking forward to gathering some botanicals and printing with them while in the French countryside! A bientot!
